    John from Down Under

Welcome to the forum John. I hope it will be very many years before you need a closer relationship with mobility scooters. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

But there's nothing wrong with tax avoidance. Anthony Barber when he was Chancellor of the Exchequer very long ago clarified the situation when he said this in the House: "Tax evasion is illegal, tax avoidance is every citizen's duty". .

How do people get such long range?

I think he's doing it the sneaky way, plugging himself in for a full charge of carbs, proteins etc. There's more than one way to tackle hills, Lance Armstrong got very creative in that direction. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Well I've done my bit and voted, but first I drove to the supermarket for some shopping. On the way and approaching the school based polling station I saw a man waiting to cross the road to vote, so I stopped, although there was no pedestrian crossing there, and waved him over with a smile. A...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The stats are long established, poor weather suppresses the labour turnout to clearly measurable degrees. It's such a complex behavioural area related to polling day circumstances such as one's employment, travel etc., that I wouldn't presume to judge why. .

Battery tech breakthrough - fill up like you would a car

You've made my point, the practicality in vehicle use is theoretical. .

Battery tech breakthrough - fill up like you would a car

Pre-charged electrolyte!! The key words in the article are: "It is theorised" and I'm betting that's where it will remain. .

Unfortunately the weather isn't very favourable for Labour today, they always do best on fine polling days. The Tory vote is usually more resilient and reliable in turning out. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I'm not laughing Tom, even the tory party realised that using her to front the campaign was a mistake and belatedly stopped doing it. She really did have the result of turning people off and that's been widely recognised among journalists. I doubt it will be enough to overturn the outcome...

These two are not incompatible. Danidl quotes EU fundamental aims which they'd like all to have, but of course will prefer to appear to offer nothing initially. Successful negotiation depends on leaving room for concession on things that would be on offer anyway. .

Another indicator of economic decline due to impending Brexit. Car sales were down a massive 20% in April, which the industry tried to shrug off as due to the minor tax changes, but now they are down again in May. This is despite the many ways on offer of buying with lower outlays. It's...

I don't consider Blair a true socialist, he's widely seen as a pseudo-tory. New Labour was just a tory alternative, little to choose between them. Basically just a method of getting elected that didn't scare tories too much. .

still not to sure what to make of bosch ebike system

This dependancy on rider input widely applies to crank drive systems that have torque control of power. Panasonic set the scene long ago with a direct link between rider input and motor output, controlled by their at the time unique pedal shaft torque measuring system. The motor output exactly...

They did the same Ken Livingstone years ago. His crime was the same as that of Jeremy Corbyn et al, they were all socialists, nothing else. In the eyes of the elite, that is a heinous crime. .

    Has Cyclezee ceased trading?

Back in 2003/4 Ezee had a lead acid battery model with that brushed motor. I can't remember its model name off hand. Later in 2007 they introduced the Liv model as a lower cost version of their Sprint model, using that old brush motor. It was only on the market for a couple of years. I don't...

    Has Cyclezee ceased trading?

Either way, if Cyclezee's quitted it presents Wai Won Ching with the need for a UK Ezee agent for the fourth time. I don't want to see the brand absent since they have one of the best hub motors in the business. .

    Has Cyclezee ceased trading?

I've heard nothing, I haven't been in touch with Cyclezee for a while now. Maybe he has given up the fight in this crowded business and gone back to his maxillofacial career. .

    Cycle Parking - "Sheffield stands"

If you work on an upper floor, you could use a solution from The Netherlands and Denmark. Have a rope hanging down with hooks that you attach the bike to, then upstairs haul it up to be suspended next to the wall out of reach of the ground. .

While I agree with much of what you've said, I disagree that there is a discernable plan other than nihilistic attack. One clear indication is that they don't even have a single name, presenting themselves variously as IS, ISIL. Da-esh, Islamic State or ISIS. They only rapidly expanded...
