Two new Woosh bikes are on the way

the tyres have arrived but I was busy in the shop with callers all day, I haven't had time to check them out yet. Will do tomorrow.

I still don't think it is, otherwise JC would have come off his fence in favour of the SM and/or customs union.

let's hope that most of the public school boys lose their seats after brexit.

I am not worried. The generation of my children are Europeans as much as British, the next generation will probably more European than British. There is no way that, post brexit, this country is going to be americanised, not that I have anything against the USA, I have family living there, but...

we only have to guess who is going to replace TM and eliminate all the promises from the other ministers.

I think the majority of voters prefer the UK to remain totally independent, albeit realistically, not quite 100% independent. EFTA membership will let us pick and choose which EU directives to implement, to a fair extent, Norway copy and paste some 70% EU laws into theirs. We won't have the ECJ...

we pay the full rate until now and not getting much listened to. as an EFTA member, we'd save £4 billions a year and can restrict a bit on FOM. That should help some face saving.

The Norwegians pay £140 a head, we are paying £220 net. I think the cost of participating in the SM at around £140 per person is OK.

I can see an emerging market for small operators buying electricity when it's cheap, store it locally and sell it as fast charging provider for electric vehicles.

@Danidl - the difference between your figures and zlatan's is due to different FIT figure. Zlatan assumed (£72/MWH), which led to his 17% yield. Fraisthorpe is paid £3,6M, they generated 83,637MHW, roughly about 25% capacity, and were paid £42.91 / MHW That's quite cheap electricity compared to...

We are clearly heading for a soft brexit, which, IMHO, is the best of both. We have never agreed 100% with the spirit of the Maastricht treaty. We send Farage to the EP and we have never been happy with the European Commission. Oh I forgot, we always want a rebate. EFTA membership will solve all...

I think you guys exaggerate the economic downside of brexit. I reckon we will all be better off to adopt a slower growth, recognize the benefit of a well regulated SM of 500 million consumers and join EFTA, but stay away from the EP.

they were paid £940,483 for 22,017 MWH for Feb-Apr, averaging £42.71 per MWH. For comparison, Hinkley is guaranteed £92.50/MWh index linked. Gas power stations: £62 per MWH I read somewhere that grid storage makes around £15 / MWH

    Hydraulic brake lever travel...too much

You probably won't need to bleed the brakes, try topping it up with a few drops of brake fluid first. Loosen the lever and turn it horizontal so that the top up port is highest. Pump the brakes so you reduce the free stroke and make it feel like normal, then use a strong rubber band to tie the...

Fraisthorpe seems to be a white elephant. Evenso, it generates income in the region of £3.5M a year. The site is a farm, the land used by the wind farm occupies 10.4 hectares. It shows how much more profitable the business is with FIT compared to agricultural income from the land.

that's true but offshore wind at 100m-200m above ground is much more reliable. The 8MW Vestas V164 turbine is 220m tall. Plus, you can do a fair amount of controlling demand through smart metering.
