    Brexit, for once some facts.

I introduced this element since there appears to be a widespread tendency to blame the Islamic community who didn't introduce it to this country. There is an acceptance element with them, the fact that many do accept electrostunning to unconsciousness. From our point of view that is no...

Fully agree, but the blame for that is on the Jewish community from very long ago, long before we had major immigration issues. Any chance that the UK will act against them in any way is minimal. Many Muslim authorities do accept reversible pre-stunning to render unconsciousness before throat...

Really? You posted this: "It was simply I remember so well back in 1993 and how terrible I felt back then. I was depressed for ages. How could he have signed that deal?" So I presume you were happier before that, a quarter of a century ago. That's the past, a time long gone. .

I said little change in our society, nothing more. Of course there will be numerous other changes. But the ethnic and cultural mix that you seem unhappy with will persist now into permanence. In that respect there will never again be the Britain of the past that you preferred. .

First the most objectionable practices like FGM are very much minority issues that we deal with at law. And that discrimination against women is gradually disappearing in London as disadvantaged women take note of our acceptance of them as equals and take control accordingly. Second, we have...

So much nonsense in one post! I'm very familiar with Luton, I owned a bungalow at Caddington just outside and worked in the town for a while so know the immigration situation there. My parents lived there for 37 years. Still have relatives in the area. And London has many areas dominated...

Contrast that with London, by far the most economically successful part of the UK, where only 46% of the population are white British born. Little wonder we voted to remain in the EU and couldn't care less about "taking control" and other such mythologies. .

Underlines what I've already forecast, that we will need to get more competitive in order to survive. The bad news is that beyond the EU, we'll have to reward ourselves far less and work much harder to compete in the wider world. So that means a much lower standard of living eventually post...

    40MPH at last!

We've actually got a 50 mph club in pedelecs from long ago, anyone reaching that speed downhill is automatically a member. There's only a few who've done that, I think the best was 62 mph on a recumbent, 53 mph on an upright. My best was 49 mph on an Ezee Torq, so not quite enough. Link 1...

True, but any such trouble will no doubt be dealt with by force, court cases and harsh punishments, akin to what we saw after the riots of 1990 and 2011. .

Only the answer to the first question is necessary as you'll see from the following. For some 50 years now this country has been living beyond its means and surviving with an ever increasing debt. Either there has to be substantial growth in earnings or we all have to shift to a lower standard...

The Grimm Brothers used to write stories like that, they tended to begin "Once upon a time" and end "and they all lived happily ever after". As German citizens, they were prophetically right with that ending - - - - - for the EU. .

But there's a way round it. With loads of torque who needs low gears? Just make it single speed witn trade bike chain, freewheel and adapted chainwheel. Derailleur chain roller width is 3/32" or less. Trade bike chain roller width is 5/32" and the rest more robust as well. .

It's politics, so i can already say with confidence what the deal will consist of. It will be a mix of the bad and the good for each side. Then the EU for it's part will publicise all that the UK suffered in leaving without mentioning the concessions, while our politicians will spin all the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Given the anti-EU elements in some other EU countries, the deal the UK gets cannot be seen to be good. That would only attract more to departure, which the EU will not risk. The signs are already there, first the disclosure that it could cost us as much as £60 billions to leave and now the EU...
