    Podride: You'll love this one.

The secondary kids want it that way though, a sort of badge of progress. I overheard three of the last year local primary kids talking about this, one of them excitedly saying "I can go to school by myself next year", obviously proud of the fact. The free public transport is a big factor...

    Podride: You'll love this one.

Your area must be very different from my London one. Hardly any secondary kids get picked up from school, that ends when they leave primary level. They either walk or use public transport which is free for them. .

I like it too, but a thick skin would be needed to ride it past the local secondary school at coming out time. .

    Stigo - L1e-A scooter

Very neat, could get popular. Pity they had to show two photos of it being ridden on the pavement, very illegal since it can't even use shared footpaths legally. Strictly roads only. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Not surprising, since there's no USA either. There is a USCNA, United States of Central North America. With the exception of Alaska and Puerto Rico, the rest of the Americas doesn't belong to them. .

Silver Powabyke unknown model help please

Yes, though how well they will match working coupled together is questionable. Difficult to understand why this is set up in this way. It may be that the battery mounted in the bike is dud as d8veh has said above. The SLAs in the box may also be dud if they haven't been charged for some while. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

They obviously don't know what they are talking about. Britain is England and Wales. Great Britain is England, Wales and Scotland. The word Great in Great Britain refers to area, not status. It was added to Britain to categorise the enlarged country when Scotland joined the union. It was...

E-bike with motors greater than 250w, speeds above 15mph and the UK police

This isn't possible due to the unknown factors. The rider might contribute more power than the motor or next to nothing, and they could weigh anything from under 55 kilos to over 160 kilos. These amount to immense power to weight differences. On the one hand above there's an S-pedelec rider...

Silver Powabyke unknown model help please

No, if SLAs in the Powabyke box it will be three 12 volt batteries in series, that was Powabykes usual setup. That may then be wired in parallel with the vertical original battery of the other make e-bike. .

Very true, since the new forum platform, can't remember exactly, but I've posted well under 10,000 times from memory, but got over 5,000 likes. I really can't see how that's deserved. .

That was just confirming what someone else experienced, not regretting. You may remember I'm the person who asked to lose the old Guru title and just appear here as another ordinary member. In fact I much preferred the old forum before this tag system. It was more functional and I'd go back to...

Silver Powabyke unknown model help please

I did check my old links but found 404 returned on them, pages removed. I can only suggest you ring them, there's number on the page I linked to. I don't know if he still works for them or has retired, but Frank Curran for many years at Powabyke was always very helpful and is a pedelecs forum...

Try this link for a charger Tim, assuming yours is 36 volt. On the same page, if you click "My Account" you will be able to register and that used to give access to Powabyke manuals once registered. .

    Brexit, for once some facts.

This part is effectively nonsense. As long as the EU has a reason to set a standard which isn't discriminatory, they can set whatever standards they wish. There are many existing examples as proof. And within the EU many countries set their own standards which can incidentally discriminate as...

    New Speeding Fines

No, the 10% tolerance is completely standard to take into account measurement errors in vehicle speedometers and speed detection devices. It also applies to e-bikes assist speed limiting, meaning we can have a cut off as late as a true 17 mph. This new law just has a silly conflict included...
