still not to sure what to make of bosch ebike system

there is nothing special. Both bikes are crank driven with the same Bewo motor on the same rotational sensor system, same 46T chainring, you pedal as much or as little as you like, power wise. My 20" bike has Nexus 3 IGH, 18T cog. My 24" compact has 8-speed 11T-34T freehub. Both have roughly the...

still not to sure what to make of bosch ebike system

The OP said in his first post: The OP can hit 15.5mph on flat roads but stuck at 11mph on that particular hill regardless of gear. That means that his legs can only provide so much power. A steeper hill will slow him down below 11mph.

I used to ride my little 20" folding Zephyr CDN but gave it up and ride my Compact CD, going from 20" wheels to 24" wheels because my cadence has dropped with time. It's not so much the legs power because both have cadence sensors, just that spinning fast builds up lactic acid faster than it can...

    Has Cyclezee ceased trading?

or like some of us, feeling tired, can't find a successor, finally give up and retire?

I am not sure that changing the front cog would make the OP spin the cranks any faster. I don't know the physical condition of the OP but judging from the average customer coming into my shop, spinning the cranks at 85 RPM is OK for Darrana but out of the question for most of them. Most of them...

they'd say 'Tōngguò jìshù jìnbù' in Tianjin ('Vorsprung durch Technik'). 3 years is a long time in bike technology. At the time, the most expensive Woosh bike sold for £749 with 15AH battery, that did not leave me with much money to spend on brakes and fork etc. Now the Rio MTB sells for £1,049...

First look at the new Woosh FB Six

I am aware of this. The choice is simple: if I fit a lower spec motors, most of my customers will still reprogrammed it anyway and when the motor breaks, will they tell me 'sorry, I derestricted it' or 'sorry, I reprogrammed it'. If I fit the best motor and programmed it for lower Amps, the...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I am not convinced by their explanation. Firstly, you just can't walk into a data centre and have access to the UPS - In all the places I've worked, the UPS is behind locked doors. Secondly, turning off the UPS does not cut off the power but triggers the alarm. It's not called a UPS for nothing...

The problem is not so much increasing power but derestriction which puts me off making more crank drive bikes. Imagine someone 'upgrades' the battery of your bike to 48V. Even Bosch can't stop derestriction of their bikes so what chance do I have? I wonder if you suffer from derestrictionitis too?

The controller can deliver that sort of power but it will be programmed to something more sensible.

First look at the new Woosh FB Six

I have not put this bike through certification process yet. I don't think it is going to be a problem though, the maximum the motor can deliver is limited by the controller. The interface is easy to program the motor to deliver what you want. I am more worried about the 48V as we usually make...
