    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't think it will take that long to find out. We already know what EU membership is like. We only have to experience brexit - by the 2022 GE, we may even see labour portraying themselves as the brexit party and the tories the europhile party.

you mean as they get older, they become more eurosceptics? just joking. we need brexit to find out our place in the world in the 21st century.

Two new Woosh bikes are on the way

The FB climbs up the cliffs in Southend with ease. I can't tell the difference because hills around Southend are too short to show up. It may come down to controllers. The controller on the Big Bear is 20A, the FB has 17A.

No. I did not order preproduction sample for this one.

the priorities for a racer are not the same - most people don't corner at high speed and there is a definite advantage riding on 3" balloon tyres when your prostate plays up.

I should have fitted the lights to the demo FB. the FB is supplied with a set of simple front torch and rear seat post light, the same set is supplied with the Rio MTB. They are battery powered by separate alkaline batteries.

    Is int possible.....

No. The LCD iis programmed with digital communication protocol to talk to the controller. KT LCDs (I have a few in stock if anyone needs one) are programmed with KT protocol. Common functions are on/off and battery voltage. The rest does not work with the wrong LCD. Parameters like time clock...

Which bike will completely replace my car

it may depend on clothing. if a thin 70kgs rider wearing lycra races against you down a 10% hill, I reckon the lycra clad guy will win.

Which bike will completely replace my car

You and your bike (110kgs) will need 550W to fly up 5% hills at 15mph. You provide 100W, the bike 450W. The controller will need to deliver more than 450W/(36V * 0.85) = 14.7A. The minimum is 15A controller but I think it's sensible to select a 17A controller to have some headroom. Quite a...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

EU trade accounts for about 12% of our GDP. Moving to WTO will reduce it but not stop it. So you can remove anything higher than possibly 5%. The trade will bounce back as soon as we conclude an FTA with the EU. Freight is usually directly proportional to GDP, the demand for lorry drivers won't...

Cannot make my New Oxygen S-Cross MTB do more than 20mph.

That would be extremely difficult, judging by all the efforts that Bosch put into protecting their bikes and the numerous dongles to defeat the protection. I am affected by the same issue. Beside the legal issue, the economic argument for us is multiple. We need to overbuild sufficiently to...

Which bike will completely replace my car

I would say between 100W (leisure pedaling) to 250W. The require energy figures I gave assuming without headwinds and motor efficiency at 85% which is typical for high speed riding. You can roughly guess the output from other data given by suppliers such as how many Amps the controller can give...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

you are talking about 2% decrease. As I said before, I am qualified to work in both UK and France, brexit does not affect me much.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You explain so much better than I! Let me repeat your line: 'The reason companies have to get foreign work is because not enough UK nationals will do it' After brexit, if there are not enough local lorry drivers taking up the jobs then the solution is to increase their wages. If I were a local...

Which bike will completely replace my car

Most of your journey are not very demanding, the required output at your weight + bike = 110kgs is around 400W for 20mph on flat roads, up to 750W for 5% gradient. Bafang BBS01 kit can do 400W-500W, BBS02 can do 400W-750W. I have bikes that have the required output but I can't recommend them to...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

let's change the word middle classes to middle income classes to avoid confusion. It is clear that Blair won over a large number of middle income voters from the tories. Something that Foot and Kinnock never did.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

on the contrary! You can't win elections if you don't have the middle classes voting for you. Blair gave to the middle classes a choice that Michael Foot then Neil Kinnock never did.
