    Brexit, for once some facts.

I could go to UK and Germany well before the UK joined. Only had to show my passport or my carte nationale d'identité. Nothing changed after the UK joined. About the drivers: how can you compete with people, just as capable, who want to earn 4 times what they would, doing the same job in their...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You are speculating. Brexit has not happened yet. There is no way at the moment to say that the economic situation is going to change drastically after we are out. The only proposed red lines that we know of are: controlled EU immigration and no participation in the ECJ.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Cheap labour has always existed because there are usually vacancies in arduous or unsocial jobs. That's is a given. Until 2004, we have had anti-immigration issue against Asians. The EU changes the landscape since (check the blue bars). The anti-immigration issue is now moved to EU immigrants...

Which bike will completely replace my car

Ross, Going uphill is where you sort out suitable bikes from the rest. To ride at 15mph on flat road, the required energy is about 200W. To ride at the same speed but on 5% gradient, you need 500W if bike + rider = 100kgs. If you increase the rider weight by 50kgs, the required energy is 720W...

your argument illustrates the danger of reasoning by examples. I've come to Bradford a few times when I lived in Edgbaston in the early 90s.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

cheap labour is mainly concentrated in the unskilled sector and can be largely linked to availability of workers coming from new member countries (post cold war and Eastern Europe enlargements). If you go back 10 years, 2007, it wasn't a problem then. More than half of the 3 millions EU...

Two new Woosh bikes are on the way

yes, like SW said. The fork is standard fat bikes' fork, you can replace it if you want to. It's a 30 minutes job. They are still relatively expensive compared to standard MTB forks. I find the FB is quite comfortable for long rides between 15psi to 20 psi at the front, 20 psi at the rear.

I have been naturalised British for more than a decade. I happened to like Mr Blair.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

you took the net contribution as a percentage of our budget. That does not reflect accurately the cumulative effect it has on the leavers. You should consider to compare our contribution as a mortgage repayment on a timeshare purchase. When you get out, you may get a substantial bill from the...

he wants the same as Mrs May would, to rule by decree. 'simplify labour laws by decree'. He is obviously keen to make the French work more hours and easier to let go.

You don't have to blame the EU for wanting to leave. We paid in net about 300 billions in 45 years, plus a substantial liability. What do we really get from that contribution? Cheap migrant labour, more globalisation (sorry, the right wording is integrated manufacturing) and one more legal...

    Futuristic ebike

does the designer say how far into the future he/she is looking ahead? As it is, I don't think it can be built with our currently available materials.

so it seems. One guy said he runs 2.3" tyre on a 45mm rim which is practically the same as on the FB. I have some 2.3" tyres in stock. There is no other way than to try them out one of those days I suppose. By the way, you don't need tyre levers with the Kiniption 26 x 3.

Swchalbe have Rocket Ron Plus in 27.5 x 3. I have not seen in 26 x 3 yet. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/schwalbe-rocket-ron-plus-mtb-tyre-snakeskin/rp-prod143792 Here is a picture of the rim: The Kenda 1016 runs very quiet on 20psi. I will test it at 10psi and 15psi tomorrow.

The FB with 26" wheels has 46cm frame (18") as measured from the top of the seat tube to the middle of the bottom bracket. It's early days, I don't know when we would bring in a larger frame though.

I took the FB out for a longish ride. Loved it. I think I am going to use it as my runabout for a while. It rides quietly. Those tyres are just balloon tyres, very different compared to the Juggernaut 26 x 4 on the test FB. Some more pictures of the FB:
