    Brexit, for once some facts.

No, we don't have to pay it back - we only need to grow our economy to keep the percentage in the average, for the EU members, that is 87%. What makes us different is that we rely on banking to make money, we therefore have much higher external liabilities per capita than most EU members, just...

Don't worry, all the modern bikes have Lithium-ion batteries. The Woosh Crusa has Samsung cells, lightweight and powerful, about the best on the market.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The brexit economic arguments are often based on flimsy modelling and the remain side tried too hard picking out simple weaknesses like the faulty assumption that supplies are always cheaper outside the EU. We can see that is not true because it does not take into account the higher productivity...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

the EU is a fortress. It is inward looking. We would be better off looking out for opportunities to trade with fast growing countries besides our current trading partners. So the first task is to retain as much as possible current on-going trade, then anything new is a bonus. Over time, the new...

economics is more a science of probabilities than a strictly logical discipline, so no, I am not worried. We are detaching ourselves from a grouping in order to find new associations. I don't think brexit is a wrong move because I can see problems with the EU that many remainers would rather...

No, they should have! I'll put them right! I am not surprised, Professor Minford is a lightweight. However, the market is a much better judge of brexit. When you consider how much uncertainty brexit has brought to our economy, their judgement is clear: they don't think we've lost the plot.

I also wonder if such arrangement (2.5 intermediate reduction stage) reduces the overall wear and weight of the gearbox.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Labour can't make a strong case for remain. Brexit means self belief and self-determination to a lot of people. Call them intuitive truths if you like, but they can't be dismissed as untruths or post-truths. The right wing press has cottoned very early on the fact that it's counter-productive to...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I don't think Labour can afford opposing brexit after the referendum, about two thirds of their seats have voted for brexit. The only path they can choose to to accept the result of the referendum and try to label the tories as hard brexiters. The libdems are on the other hand ecstatic...

Fast forward to 2019, she'll agree to the terms dictated by the EU. What then? I reckon May has as a bigger problem from within her party. A few of her MPs do not think we should pay the EU any money as divorce settlement and just walk away, as soon as possible, we don't need a deal. She needs...

Mrs May needs a strong mandate to push back the hard brexiters. Without a strong majority, she will be blackmailed by her own MPs.

in maths, you can have any radix you like, as long as it's more than 1 in this example. eg, for an octal numeral system, that would be equal to 9 in the decimal system. Zero is of course a special case. is it now properly pedantic?

I've been watching PMQT this afternoon. Mrs May kept going back to brexit, I reckon that will do her more harm than good. On most issues outside brexit, the tories are definitely on the back foot. Her dodging TV debates also looked definitely iffy. 7 weeks is a long time in politics.
