Two new Woosh bikes are on the way

FP, both have pedal sensors and full acting throttle but you have to pedal a bit to activate the throttle. The chainring is 44T on both. This is the chainring on the Rio MTB. Classy, isn't it? http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?rio-mtb

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Yes, there is a saying 'the market is always right' meaning the price of the Pound is correct at this moment after all factors are taken into account.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

No, I follow the exchange rate GBP vs EUR. The Pound sank against the Euro before the 29th March. As the position of the UK and EU become clear, the Pound rose 0.28% against the Euro today after Donald Tusk plan is made public. Maybe the market is saying bullyism won't work.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Remainers are missing out on the bigger picture. If there is no deal then fair enough, nobody wins. But if there is a deal, then let's see. If the deal is too advantageous to the EU, then it would give credit to the idea that 'they want to punish us' and fan the flame for nationalism. If the...

DLR.de developed fuel cell for e-cargo

before we get all excited about this, it's nothing new. The molar mass for MgH2 is 26g/mole. If you combine the H2 with the oxygen from the air, you will get at most 286 kJ/mole, or 11MJ/kg (specific energy rating) for MgH2. Jet fuel: 42.8MJ/kg. The price of pure magnesium powder, hydrogen...

yes, try some chalk mark. If one of the pads on your rear V-brakes touches the rim, you can adjust the spring tension with a screwdriver.

    Crossfire Or Kudos Tourer D9

LiFePO4 batteries have lower internal impedance, that may explain its better climbing ability against the Crossfire.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

we have seen b ( the UK supplier will think their EU market is bigger than the UK market and will move to the EU, and simply sell back into the UK, as the better option.) happens already and we will see some more in two years when the uncertainly has been lifted. I think we have seen that with...

I am not sure they compare like with like. MgH2 is made from H2 and powdered magnesium under high pressure and temperature. MgH2 reacts with water to release hydrogen and Mg(OH)2. Yes, you can dump the waste at sea but if you look at the energetic contents of MgH2 which comes entirely from using...

    Creak -but not my knee!

Sarabee, 1. Lift and spin each wheel, does the wheel create the noise? 2. Does the noise happens when the same section of the wheel is in contact with the ground or the brake pads?

You could apply the same logic the other way round: and reversely, British made goods will be more expensive and the continentals will simply pay a little more. Nobody wins in restricting trade. The EU is more worried about losing face than economic consequences for their members.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

soon enough, the EU will find that brexit is equally 'punishing' for the EU. If the EU gives a good deal to the UK on the basis of common interest, then I bet Ireland will be next to leave. If it doesn't, then we rake in more import duties than the other way round and perhaps we'd buy more...

No chance for metal hydrides to fly an aeoplane. There is a efficiency limit on systems based on metal hydrides and they still won't be able to compete against hydrocarbons or solar energy in the foreseeable future. On the current scope, if the process produces a waste product then it's to be...

wouldn't it be better to proceed two parallel threads at the same time like the UK suggested? after all, the uncertainly affects the UK and EU companies to the same extend. If the result is the same, no deal until all the items have been agreed, then I find the EU's insistence on 'sufficient...

    More ebike woes

I use an old saddle post to attach the bike to the stand. Much easier than with the normal post with the saddle on it and avoid scratching the post too.

Thank you flecc. Always helpful, always efficient. I wonder if this forum could ever be what it is without you. (and d8veh too but unlike you, he is annoying now and then telling people how to derestrict their bikes or worse still, solder the shunt.).

    Brexit, for once some facts.

It looks like the EU is more interested in a face saving formula than protecting the interest of its members. What happens to citizens living abroad if there is no deal?
