Going electric, too lazy to pedal

I don't know your circumstances why you get so poor performance on battery consumption on your bike. Bosch simulator https://www.bosch-ebike.com/en/service/range-cockpit/ gives about 60 miles for their 400WH battery, 6.6WH per mile. You battery consumption is way over this figure, 720WH for 50...

    Bosch Engine Repairs After Warranty??

Yes, let's be realistic, what is the probability that a chain breaks on a CD bike compared to that on a hub bike? If it is significant, then it should be taken into account for suitability when choosing a tool for your commute. You are also correct, I do unpaid work for Woosh but I do work for...

Billy, don't worry about it fitting the Carerra. The torque sensor fits standard BB, 68mm Shimano UN26 or similar.

Going electric, too lazy to pedal

Artstu, I wrote a tool to give estimate of battery consumption on my website here: http://wooshbikes.co.uk/clearway.php If the OP wants to give me or input into the tool her postcode and the postcode where she works, the tool gives her a more accurate estimate for her commute. The tool assumes...

then your bike has a torque sensor similar to this: Drill a hole about 10mm wide into the BB shell to let the cable out.

Artstu, It's my estimate. If you want to be certain, buy one and test it yourself. No dongle nor derestriction please.

then find it out for yourself. Take a picture of the magnet ring and the pedal sensor of your e-bike. If it will look a bit like this: that's a typical pedal sensor. You undo the bottom bracket, the sensor has a brass ring like a collar that secures the sensor to the BB assembly.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Rupert Murdoch owns the Sun and the Times. The Sun is pro-brexit, the Times is neutral. Murdoch's newspapers are a lot less vociferous than Richard Osmond's Express and Rothmere's Daily Mail. If you want to single out the 'fascists' then Murdoch is not seen as belonging there.

    Bosch Engine Repairs After Warranty??

Yes, I agree with that. If you have a Bosch dealer nearby, you could spend £2k on something like a Cube Bosch hybrid with 500WH battery that will be your main, comfortable work horse and pile the miles in while you still enjoy the guarantee. Mind you, if you go by the number of broken chains...

OG, I am not a militant, never have been and never will be, I leave that stuff to the hard core. I am only interested in facts and logical debates and have always been uneasy talking to people who think they are always right because they have put faith in their assumptions without regular...

Going electric, too lazy to pedal

the OP weighs 10 stone Crockers. She said she doesn't want to pedal at all, but I suspect when she gets her e-wheels, the pedaling is so easy and nice that she soon forgets about using the throttle. Most of my customers like to have it but don't use it much. The throttle is still very useful...

if you still have the broken chain, a picture of the broken link would help to find out what causes it.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

OG, there are notorious cases like Dyson, JCB, Tate & Lyle and Weatherspoon where you may associate their vote for brexit directly to their financial interest (free trade with countries they do a lot of business with), the link between brexiters and the rich is simply not proven. There are...

Brand new Haibike, two broken chains in first 35 miles, and other problems, advice needed

the chain could break because of a combination of chain load (big ring at the front and smallest cog at the rear) and 2Lazy has very strong legs. If it's the case, then 2Lazy needs a different chain.

oldtom, please remind me what this thread is about? You seem to spend your time to represent the AAV blog and rant against social inequalities. Stay on topic please. Your attempt to link brexit to inequalities and other prejudices are nothing more than your own prejudices. If you can't stick to...

does your bike have a dongle by any chance? I have a lot of feedback from my customers and you can also look up posts from members of the forum about realistic range of my bikes. Even one did it with a Big Bear and posted it on the forum not long ago. The Petite is more economical on battery...
