Rescuing a Pair of Schwinn Tailwinds

Absolutely, but instead they went for the gimmick of the Toshiba SCiB fast charge battery, not exactly the highest priority for an e-bike and cells which Toshiba first intended for e-cars. That's a great job you've done, an e-bike anyone would be pleased with. .

    England Football Manager

Indeed, and what does it say about sport administration in general, the FA being only the latest to have doubts cast, and not for the first time We've only recently had the International Olympic Committee corruption revelations and the way it seemed the UCI must have known about the widespread...

Stills don't tell the story, a video is needed. All too often it's the cyclist who rides up into the nearside when the lorry slows approaching the corner, as many of the CCTV videos have shown. It's that common circumstance the safety advert is about. .

That looks great Barry, and with 150cc much more practical than Honda's earlier very underpowered 50cc equivalent. Though ironically the Xingyue has a Honda engine! .

Bicycle helmets reduce risk of serious head injury by nearly 70%, study finds

Helmets are compulsory there and that's rigidly enforced by their police, so all or virtually all would have been wearing helmets. As Australian member Geebee said above, the problem there is the way Australians drive, to which I'd add their very low incidence of cyclists. Out of sight means...

    Ebike catches fire....

Lithium in metallic form doesn't exist in rechargeable lithium batteries, it's just an intercalated lithium compound. In fact it's when poor manufacturing standards result in the formation of metallic lithium crystals that fires occur. This is due to the growing crystals having a jagged...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Me too, I think Corbyn has some real potential and as I've posted before is in the mould of the late great Clement Attlee. Goodness knows UK politics is desperately in need of some fresh approaches. .

    2017 E-Silence EVO

The chainstay spreads wide and flatter at the front, so it may have two bolts hidden behind the chainwheel, enabling enough spread there to pass a belt though. It would mean removing the chainwheel to fit a belt, but given their very long life that's not a big problem. Not a roadside job though! .

Jeremy is re elected as leader of the Labour Party!

Maybe, but times always change. The public will get sick of a tory government in time and then the opposition will come to power. A united Labour party under Corbyn would be that opposition party, but if they don't unite the resurgent Lib-Dems or UKIP will seize the opportunity. .

Jeremy is re elected as leader of the Labour Party!

Corbyn is a socialist, his party is the pseudo conservative one formed by Tony Blair, electable but incapable of politically adequate opposition. That makes a huge swathe of the electorate very unhappy. The "Labour" MPs need to quickly become genuine Labour MPs and back Corbyn if they are not...

Bicycle helmets reduce risk of serious head injury by nearly 70%, study finds

The primary Australian problem for cyclists is as Australian Geebee says above, the way so many Australians drive. However, my comparisons are valid since they are not about the nature of the accidents, they are about the effect helmet wearing has on cycling rates and how cycling rates affect...

And the legal term for any motorised vehicle, including pedelecs, is a locomotive. This was first used in respect of roads in the Highway Act, 1835 which made all motorised vehicles of any kind illegal. Since then anything with a propulsion motor can only be used on the roads if it has a...

    Bikes in France

The official reason was the changing nature of the mail carried. With the growth of online trading the Royal Mail were carrying ever increasing amounts of packages and junk mail, so for bulk and weight reasons small vans with flexible delivery arrangements were more suitable. What motor is this?

I think it could be the Powabyke Euro motor too. It would be a front wheel from their electric trike which was sold with a choice of 20" or 24" wheels. Here's a resized image of one of the photos: .
