    Superfast Delivery by Cyclezee

True, though in my experience it never matched the services of the best private couriers. .

Has any other member got a Kalkhoff Sahel i360 Harmony ?

Good to hear that it's as you want it now Mike. As you know I was confident that 50cycles could do the necessary for you. I think you'll find it will reliably stay like this now, these bikes are usually very stable long term. .

Oh yes, haven't we all suffered that! If Parcelforce was a truly independent private business. I'm sure it would have gone broke well before Citylink did. I've got to the point where I won't use suppliers who I know use Parcelforce. .

    schwalbe energizer life tyres

Maybe the Tour version I referred to above would be better for you? With a deeper and more featured tread it should be much better at coping with debris, while still having good roll characteristics. .

Next record to set is the courier delivery one, here's the one to beat. Ordered online a computer item from Dabs at Bolton, Lancashire with checkout at 8.30pm. The next morning i was signing for it on my Surrey/London borders doorstep at exactly 7.25am. Somehow that had been processed and...

Yes, that does seem irrational. Perhaps it's just the market sizes that makes for more possible sales in the road use sector. Small scale production can be very expensive. .

Jivr folding chainless ebike on Kickstarter

The DiBlasi e-tricycle almost gets that small and has an amazingly simple and quick fold, but rigid to ride it certainly isn't. Even 12 mph is an achievement, but it's fold is very clever. Check the fold and carry if you haven't seen it before: Page link to both animation and video. .

Ditto, as said before 14 gauge is all I use too, completely without any problems. .

Does anyone know how to identify Shimano Acera derailleurs?

SRAM's twistgrip changers are Shimano compatible and are sold as such. I have the SRAM changer and Shimano's Acera rear mech on my current bike and also had that combo on my previous bike. .

So long as it's rated as 250 watts, since it's limited to 15.6 mph it's actually L1-A, so doesn't have to have a number plate, registration and insurance. It does have to be type approved though, but perhaps that has already been done, seeing that it's being ridden on roads in the video. .

Yes, charging a battery from a pedal generator can be very inefficient, but the power from the generator routed directly to the motor would be much more efficient, no wasteful conversion of electrical energy into the chemical potential in a battery. Virtual diodes can at low cost ensure the...

If it's good enough for Sir Bradley Wiggins..........

Sixteen spoke front wheel is not unusual, but the rear wheel has 21 spokes. Having an odd number of spokes is quite rare, I can only remember offhand some 9 spoke Rolfe wheels on a high-end Dahon having that feature. As for making it into a pedelec, I'd feel a bit self concious on it at 15 mph! .

    18650 batterys

I've had two cases of excess over order supplies John, but both retailers told me to keep the extra. Im surprised your battery company didn't do the same since the cost of all 24 to them was probably only about £20. Since they'd already had £4 from you and it would cost several pounds to...

Is 28mph too fast for a pedelec?

I has a bunch of council estate kids race my Lafree once, but the only one who actually caught me and very gradually crept ahead of my hard pedalling 15 mph on the slight upslope was a little boy of no more than eight. He was on what we used to call a "fairy cycle", little wheels and very low...

Yes, it definitely would provide very useful power and I didn't intend a spoof only. In fact there has been a recent prototype all electric drive e-bike design which was reported in here. It's an inefficient drive method, perhaps only 70% to 80% efficient, but a bike with hub gears can be in...

Is 28mph too fast for a pedelec?

But beating 8 year old girls probably wasn't in the minds of the legislators. The purpose of allowing some assistance has always been clear, it's for utility cyclists who need assistance. Predominantly those utility cyclists in the main cycling countries of The Netherlands and Germany ride...

Jivr folding chainless ebike on Kickstarter

The simple answer for the VW fold design Dave is to have a small generator in the crank point, feeding the electrical system. That should meet the pedelec requirement in the EU, pedal powered with 250 watt motor assistance. Whether the generator provided much power wouldn't matter since we...

No, not the drive Mike, as KudosDave indicates. It was just the fold that mimicked the VW concept. VW didn't get as far as a drive system. .

    The lost Malaysian airplane
