    Cycle Commute below zero?

I love cycling in the cold crisp mornings. It's the wet windy ones I hate. I agree, I have a pair of studded tyres, and I've never used them. We don't have the ice/snow consistency to justify changing them over. As long as you take it easy, then standard tyres do fine. As for gloves, if it's...

Does anyone own a Momentum Electric Bike?

Hi David I've owned a Momentum Electric Upstart for 2 years I think. I bought it second hand, and it had been modifyied. The torque sensor was ditched as the seller said it wasn't responsive enough. He fitted a throttle controller in its place. I enjoy riding it & put about 500 miles into it...

    Battery Connector Woes...

Ok. Got 6 miles in & a stutter & then 5 mins later, dead again. Limped 'fixie' style home and took the car. Checked out all the connectors and everything seemed ok. Took the battery out of it's case and looked at the connector. It has 2 large red/black wires and also 2 red/black small wires. 5...

Thanks Guys. To be honest I've never knelt by the connector when placing the battery, so it may well have done that before. Fixed connector and new throttle, Done. Mobile again :)

    Battery Connector Woes...

Thanks for the swift reply. Both slots have a little corrosion. Dismantled and there are no springs, just gripped by tension. I've tried to bend them back to create tension. Is there any way to clean the corrosion?

    Battery Connector Woes...

I've a momentum Upstart with a 36V 9 Ah Battery. Been working fine and came to it the other day and nothing. No power at all, no power to the hard wired light. Checked the battery. Fine Checked the connections on the bike. Fine. Seems like no power at all to the controller. Then check the...

Hi Chopin I was in the same boat as you, with lots of enthusiam & little knowledge or money. 2 years ago I moved from a quick 2 miles hop to a 22 mile commute. Jerry gave me some great advice, but I loved my Brompton too much to electrify it. I thought that I'd try and save for another & do what...

Hi D8veh Are you suggesting a new controller rather than the e-crazyman I already have? I was going to get a watt meter in the mix somewhere and wondered if any of the LCD monitors would give me battery info ? Also, I'd like to delimit the motor from 15.5 to get about 17-18mph. Is this possible?

I have the E-Crazyman EB306 controller matched to the 8FUN SWXK 36V250W motor. I've read a little about the e-crazyman contollers being programmable, but can't find anything specific to the EB306. I'd also like a LCD Display monitor. Is there any that you could recommend from BMS ?

    Throttle Wiring

Thanks D8veh. That was my fear. I'll pick up a couple of spare throttles from BMS now I've found them. Thanks for the help.

    Throttle Wiring

Ok all back together, No flailing wires, Bike seems to work fine but only the Power on (RED) led works and not the others. No idea why. I can live with it as I know the power of my battery and it has an indicator on it but I'm just curious why it wouldn't light up ?

    Throttle Wiring

Cheers d8veh. In the inspection process the red has detached too, So I'm popping it back where it should be. Any ideas where I can get a replacement throttle? I think i'd like to have a spare to hand. This site is fab. Thankyou

    Throttle Wiring

OK second attempt. Thanks so far d8veh. Red and black soldered to the same pad & intact. Blue wire was the one floating around. Numbered all the pads for clarity.
