Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

My final act is to have deleted some of my posts as these were probably unfair and over the top. I have been unable to delete posts other than today's. As far as I'm concerned everything posted by me - should be removed from the forum and my account also removed. I am attempting to resolve all...

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

I forgot to add - I lurked and used this forum extensively when researching e-bikes. It significantly helped me narrow down my search for suitable transport. It came down to Wisper or Woosh. Influenced, in part, by the apparent readiness of the owners to provide support to owners. I had a good...

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

David Wow ... you really don't get it do you? - I'm just waiting for an update from my dealer before constructing another reply. Nealh Customer service isn't difficult. It just needs to done carefully and honestly. Yep, some mistakes are bound to happen from time to time and hopefully...

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

I noticed the bike was broken on the afternoon of Sat 18th Aug. I contacted my dealer by phone to see if they could assist (in case it was something I was doing wrong). The conclusion was it was a fault and that they would contact Wisper on Monday the 20th. I gather that that they rang on...

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

I have just been informed by my dealer that a chap from Wisper is sending a spare controller out today. But had to send them a photograph of the offending unit as apparently there are various types of controller and they wanted to make sure they sent the right one. Sort of raises the question of...

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

David I'm sorry but I believe what my dealer has told me. They have kept me fully in the loop and have emailed me with updates on a daily basis. So far they have only talked with Claud once and that was when they initially talked to him about diagnosing the fault with the bike. They have left...

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

My dealer has confirmed that through trial and error - it seems to be a controller fault. They are trying to get a spare sent, but it is getting a little late in the day for a Saturday delivery, so it looks like it will be mid next week before my new bike will be returned. Edited Dealer says...

    what type of multimeter?

To be honest - I bought the one from screwfix because I needed a meter on a Sunday quick, and there is a branch just down the road. It did the job, I needed to test my bikes battery as well. It did the job, but was fiddly to get working. I wouldn't spend a fortune. Maybe take a look at Amazon...

    what type of multimeter?

Personally I'd say NO - the description clearly states its an LCD Digital - when the picture is clearly analogue ... I smell a rat.

    what type of multimeter?

Not the £11 LAP Digital one from Screwfix - not good quality test leads, resulting in intermittent connections.

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

Hopefully, the dealer will be collecting the bike tomorrow. So with a little bit of luck, I should have it back for the bank holiday weekend - just in time for the bad weather to hit.:)

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

I realise that I failed to thank Neal for all of the help he offered me on Sunday. Sorry mate, I do, of course, appreciate the time you spent trying to help me. It was beyond the call of duty and you are a star. Is there a way of thanking people on this forum?

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

I'd prefer if he would contact Matt @ Mountain Mania, who has been waiting for a call back since 10 this morning.

Any idea where this might be? All of the cables seem to be routed in the frame.

    Newbee

Hello Pretty new to this lark. I’m 60 this year and the doctor has been on my back to lose weight, take more exercise and stop smoking! So 3 weeks ago I stopped smoking and bought myself a pedelec. I took delivery of my nice shiny (red) Wisper 705SE 575w two weeks ago. Stopping smoking has...

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

Yes - the LCD is coming on and the lights operate when you switch them on (via the LCD unit). The LCD shows one bar on the Battery indicator (flashing) and the current bars are full on. These normally only come on when the motor is working (which it isn't). No other indicators of any fault. The...

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

its showing 41.6V across the terminals, which I guess indicates that any fuse is OK and I think that it shows the battery is fully charged.

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

Dug out my old meter last night only to find that the dial on it has seized solid. Guess the battery leaked! Just ordered a new one from screwfix to pickup later this morning.

Strange Problem with 2 week old 705SE - 30 miles on the clock.

Have already spoken to the dealer who I purchased my 705SE from - they have said that they will need to speak with Wisper on Monday. But I thought I ask just in case anybody might know of a fix. Battery is charged - shows all green on test. If I put it on the charger - 30 seconds and the...
