Hurrah! It was this day, August 25th last year that I purchased my beloved Oxygen. Incidentally, it was sheeting with rain that day too! Second hand, the chap had only done 49 miles but had come off and had had 22kg of bike land on him so was put off. It's an ill wind, cos I've now added 1700 to those 49 miles on my daily commute and that's after barely using it at all last winter because I was too timid to use it in the dark. But not this year! I've bought some yellow 'oilskins' and come late October bike & helmet will be positively chandelier with lcd lighting. Ebiking - it's the Way Forward!

Congratulations and happy anniversary. No better way than with 1700 miles, very impressive!

Yes well done. Ebikes have transformed my daily commute and quality of work life.

In the hilly city of Bath it must get severely tested, congrats on the mileage, hoping I'll match it in the next year.

Marchant, very impressive, going the whole year avoiding my questionaire! ... Can I have some more details? ..
How far is your commute?
Who supplies the Oxygen? Do you have a url link to your model? Do you have any photos? ...
Have you had it serviced yet! .... (I didn't get my bike serviced in the first 9 months and, man, did it need it! ..) if you are going to ride through the winter then I would recommend a service.

Thanks, everyone. Alan, my Oxygen is an eMate City originally supplied last year by Atmosphere cycles of Bristol who I have still never met, but they were kind enough to transfer the 2 year warranty as the bike was only 4 months old when I purchased it 2nd hand. I had it serviced first at 500 miles and then recently at 1500 by Green Park Bike Station, excellent chaps who I would thoroughly recommend here in Bath. My commute is a very hilly seven miles each way Bath - Peasedown St John on the busy A361; Dunkerton Hill is something of a local legend. Can't fault the performance of the bike as it allows me to arrive at work unsweaty but exercised and in a good mood. I have used my 'normal' bike for the journey on occasion and while it is altogether more fun to ride it necessitates a change of clothing on arrival which is more than I can be bothered with most mornings. Purely based on my 1 year's experience with the Oxygen and having never ridden any other ebike, I would strongly recommend the brand if you are in the market.
cheers
Martyn.

Well done! nice to see that some can actually get their relatively expensive e bikes to pay for themselves in saved travelling expenses....
