2011 Wisper 706 alpino - LCD Display Unit Malfunction?

This is my wife's favourite bike (and we do have a lot to choose from) and has been largely trouble free for most of its life. Yesterday, on switching on, the display unit turned on showing all the characters and symbols possible and then just faded away to nothing. This is all that it will do now. The battery shows as full. Seems likely to need a new LCD unit to me but just thought I check on here in case anyone has any different ideas (and because official Wisper support isn't open at the weekend).

i did see on another thread that there maybe a small battery in the lcd unit?

No, I've taken it apart and there is no sign of a battery.

Claud our technician is in the warehouse today preparing bikes for delivery next week.

If you call he may well pick up. Alternatively drop him a line with theses images and he will sort you out on Tuesday. I would suggest you need a new LCD.
