New Integrated battery Range

2017 sees Moustache start to integrate their Bosch batteries into their frames. This is a major development for Moustache but also for Bosch. Until recently Bosch powered bikes have been easily recognisable mainly thanks to the precense of the frame mounted battery. This new range of bikes has integrated 70% of the battery into the frame virtually concealing the battery on first glance. This is a feature that a lot of people are looking for and we are excited to see that it has been done with a Bosch powered bike. The new models with integrated battery are:-

• Samedi 27 Off 6*

• Samedi 27 Off 8*
• Samedi 27 Trail 6*

Pretty soon they will all look the same and you will have to read the text to see who made the bike. I like the way specialized and Giant are recognizable from frame design.

Well, we all know the problems with replacing integrated batteries when they wear out.

Ones I have seen up close over the years are absolutely beautiful. Quality surpasses most other makes.

Not sure this is an issue with the new range. Admittedly I haven't seen one in the flesh but the impression that I get is that it is a standard Bosch battery with some clever concealment in the frame design, removable & replaceable like any Bosch e-bike battery.

Using a standard battery is of course the answer.
I wonder if as ebikes become more popular, firms will set up to re-cell any battery.
