Seen replacement cells on ebay but dont know what to buy to replace the ones i have its a slim alloy case slides in rack over back wheel im not bad at electrics so has anyone idea what i need to buy to replace to get to 26 v 10amp
You have to open up your battery and look inside. My guess is 32 18650 cells.
18650 cells are very coo=mmon on Ebay, but you can never believe the claims. As well as the sellers/manufacturers over-stating the capacity, there's also a lot of counterfeit ones, so a bit of a lottery.
If you have a look at some of the flashlight forums, they do a lot of evaluations of the various 18650 cells, and woul recommend the best ones. Assuming that yours are 18650 cells, then Panasonic CGR18650G or H, or Samsung ICR18650-26C or ICR18650-26F should be good if you can find geuine ones.
There's one seller on ebay that will spot-weld the tabs into the correct configuration for you.
Personally, I think you'd be better off getting a complete new battery, which will probably be cheaper. Upgrade to 36v for more speed and power.
