36v or 48v ?

I am hanging my nose over the 500w Bafang mid drive
and looking towards the experts on here for advice. Will l be disappointed with the 36v 17.5 Ah triangular I pack ,will the lower voltage preserve the controller , due to the shape of my frame l can’t find any others suitable that would look the part without going for a custom made pack.Many thanks Wafty .

less current is best for controllers so 36v x 20a = 720w, a similar 48v would be 15a.

Thanks for confirming what l thought. Suppose it’s a trade off, less power for longevity of the motor ?

The example I gave is the same both output 720w.
