36v sla charged voltage?

Hi charged my 3 12v sla on bike, tested and their reading 40.2v. Does this spud about right for fully charged

2.3v per cell so 18x2.3 = 41.4v

40.2 is a bit low...but probably OK...

Good enough - about 13.5 volts per 12 volt battery is a sensible top-out voltage for an SLA. A standard 'wet' battery (as used in cars, etc) tops out at about one volt higher.

So - in your case 13.5 x3 = 40.5.

Actually, its probably just about spot on according to Battery University....
