Just wanted to relate my experience to anyone thinking of using them. In short I'm very impressed

My kit is 10months old and the battery packed up without warning. Total failure, maybe fuse , don't know

I emailed 8fun and they responded within 24hours asking me to return it.

Within 48 hours of them receiving the old one I had another email saying a new replacement was on its way. A tracking number was also included.

For a relatively cheap/bottom end kit I think this is excellent service. No if, no buts, no attempt to avoid. Just fast effective service

I am very glad I used them rather than having the same kit sent from china. The extra money was well spent

I should add the service from forum members in identifying the root cause of the failure was also exemplary ! :)

That's good news, glad you got it sorted in the end, most likely the BM part of the battery but will never know now.

True enough - still possible there is another problem and when I plug this battery in it goes poof. I so hope not being off the road is total killer. Wife told me I have been behaving like I'm in mourning !

Wifes are not good in this hobby, told mine i was going to strip out the Bottom bracket and clean my bike, then she abruptly states, I thought you was going to do it the garage not the front room. I mean who is going to work on the bikes in the cold this time of year.!

I would Never work on a bike in the front room - Never....

I wait 'til she's gone out, then bring it into the kitchen - It's warmer in there :p

New battery did 40 - 60miles then packed up

8fun claim that it may be the connection between battery and power cord and not covered by warranty

This makes no sense to me and I have raised it with them

They said

"the battery lead from the controller may loose and doen't lock properly will cause problems, if in this case, it's out of warranty."

Just by way of closure for future readers

8fun did eventually agree the the led panel was kaput and replaced along with a free power cable just to be sure

No complaints from me in the end. Happy customer

Well done to you too for staying calm and having the patience to see it through. Glad to hear your back up and running, just in time for the better weather.
