OK, this is just an idea but hopefully someone in the know will be able to tell me.

I have a Kudos Tourer and Kudos Typhoon. If I wired the bottle battery from the Typhoon into the Tourer, would it work? It's an idea I have to increase the range and help the weight distribution.

Yes it'll work if you do it correctly. It's possible to connect them in parallel, but that can be complicated, so it would be best to put a connector between the battery and controller, then make a lead from your bottle battery with the same connector. You can then switch between the two batteries, but only connect one at a time. The only thing to worry about would be to get the polarity correct.

I think it's quite a good idea to add the bottle battery to get more range. You'll need a need an additional mounting bracket.

Thanks for the reply. Another question if I may. The Tourer's battery requires a key to turn it on, the Typhoon's needs a switch to be pressed to turn it on. Couldn't I connect them both and simply switch on whichever battery I was using?

I wouldn't recommend it. It would be only a matter of time before you forgot to switch one off or someone switched one on accidentally. They'd be at different voltages, so I think there would be a lot of smoke.

That sounds like a fair evaluation of me. ;)
