If you are bored, or even if you are not, now is a good time to do maintenance on your seat pillar. A neglected pillar will eventually rust into the frame and be very difficult to adjust or remove. First mark the current position of your seat, or measure the height. Loosen the clamp bolt and remove the pillar from the frame. Clean it, grease it and reinstall it. Job done.

I remove mine every time that I wash and clean the bike. :) You can't clean the underside of the saddle if it's still on the bike. ;)

I also always use an anti seize spray on the lower three quarters of it, and always make sure that it isn't applied at the clamping point.

Ed, don't you keep a bike just to get dirty, save all the fuss of having to clean then ride theKTM?
