Agattu electrical problem

Had a new experience today. I put my newly charged battery in my Agattu and pressed the power button expecting the usual 3 power lights and middle mode light to illuminate. Instead the 3 power lights flashed on followed by the 3 mode lights (and then repeat). I took the battery out and reseated it a couple of times and had the same result. The third time I took the battery out I blew into the contacts which did the trick (normal function resumed).

Does anyone know what my bike was trying to tell me or had this happen to them?

Only that you had that poor connection giving low current. The initial lights at switch-on are a system status check, so any error will be signalled. I don't know if there are different signal patterns for different faults, though that's sometimes the case on controllers.

Thanks Fecn - that does make sense - the bike was leaning against another one and it's possible that there was turning force on the pedals. I guess my blowing on the contacts merely coincided with me separating the two bikes. It is reassuring to know that the problem was not more significant.
