Aldi puncture repair canister.... First try!

You have just reminded me of something. TK if your tyres have Presta valves stems, which I suspect that it will have if you are still on the KTM supplied tubes. Be careful not to bend and snap the stem that sticks out from the top off. I've managed to do exactly that when fixing a puncture and having extremely muddy hands which slipped and pushed the pump off centre. I also have a friend that managed to do exactly the same.
Lesson learned, don't unscrew the stem rounded nut further than is absolutely necessary, makes sure to locate the pump very carefully, and wipe muddy hands first!

It came with schrader valves which sounds like a good thing from what you describe.
