And be a rich, unhappy or dead person.
.
It is possible that people who are of a more 'careful' disposition with money end up unhappy. Certainly they might go that way, but there is no possible way anyone can suggest that this is systematically the case. I am careful what I spend on and I am very far from being unhappy. Quite the reverse. I get a lot of joy out of life every day - only from other kinds of things and relationships. If I fall off my perch tomorrow, my sons can do what they like with me and my assets - such as they are. I learned a long time ago that spending for spending's sake, or lusting after gadgets and then spending a lot on them brought very little pleasure to me in the long term. Other things did.

These bikes are category 5 and have a five year frame warranty.

Bike Category 5, is a set of conditions for operation of a bicycle that includes Conditions 1, 2, 3, and 4; extreme jumping; or downhill grades on rough trails at speeds in excess of 40 km/h (25 mph); or a combination thereof.

Carbon is not only about weight it's very durable when constructed properly, and enhances the riders control and power delivery. We have sold carbon frames for more than £6,000. All these advantages are tiny, much like someone fitting Shimano Dura Ace, the advantages are slight but not insignificant. Absolutely not for anyone with out a real passion for extreme cycling or racing.

The bike at the the back is a Scott Addict E-Ride! Not for everyone.

All the best, David

Never a fan of full carbon, better with an alloy rear, especially given the bike is going to be subject to a series of knocks and bumps, neither of which carbon will absorb in the way alloy does.

£4250 i think it was.

Considering a robust carbon frame from a good manufacturer is usually about £2500, add the motor and battery plus the gubbins and adding on profit margins, its about its money.

Specced with a 170mm fork, and i think yours is 160mm, though you should be able to up that to 170 with a new airshaft, though for pottering around the streets and canal bridal paths, 160mm would probably be fine. slight change to geometry and handling, but i doubt its anything worth noting.

SW would likely have had two ends of a bike by now as he does like acrash or two, so surprised if he would go carbon.

Did SW crash with his Haibike?
