Hey all,

Thanks to all for your help and guidance.

So I am almost ready to place the order for the Woosh RIO MTB.

I wanted to ask a few things to fellow owners of this bike....

1) Does anybody lock the bike in a public place? If so what locks do you use and recommend? Do I have to lock the bike and wheels?

2) I saw some discussion on upgrading the mud guards on this bike, did anyone find a good set that would protect me whilst commuting in London?

3) I am not the tallest of riders (5ft4) and so was wondering if anyone knew the height between the top tube and floor?

Thank you

full size mudguards for the Rio MTB:

The front mudguard is a bit tricky to replace because the 100mm RST suspension fork does not have traditional lugs to bolt the front mudguard. It uses instead a plastic bung which self expands when you tighten the bolt.
The rear mudgard is easier to choose, the frame has the traditional hole between the seatstays for securing the mudguard.
If you want to fit full length mudguards, you can get something like this:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cycle-mudguards-front-rear-mountain-bike-MTB-Road-City-V-brake-set-24-26/151737557255
https://www.evanscycles.com/zefal-classic-mtb-mudguard-set-24-26-EV170416
I would cut the front (supplied) mudguard keeping just the fixation and bolt the new front mudguard to it. The new rear mudguard can be fitted normally.

between top of the seat tube and floor: 28"
You have to allow for the mudguard, rear light and reflector if you keep them where they are.
To get the saddle to its lowest setting, the rear mudguard has to be replaced with something like the one above.

Sorry Woosh, I was more after the height denoted by the arrow on the attached. It is so I get a feel for dismounting the seat to stand over the bike at traffic lights etc.

Edit: added the drawing with arrows, any idea what rough measurements to floor for the Red and blue arrows are? Would you say the blue arrow is more in line of where you would stand if you dismounted the seat and stood over the bike?
