Any Cytronex owners in or around Bristol?

I've ridden quite a few ebikes over the years, but the the one that is missing from my list is a Cytronex. I'd really like to have a go on one.

I wondered if I could be cheeky and ask to have a go on a bike of anyone who has one and who lives in or around Bristol? I'd really like to try it in the area where I live so that I can see hill performance for example. I could drive to Winchester, but its pretty flat around there compared to Bristol and I'm not sure a ride there would convince me either way.

I could obviously leave an appropriate deposit.

Any volunteers?

fbm can I ask what bikes have you ridden and what is your favourite bike to ride and why?

If you could get to Winchester and meet Mark and his range of bikes that would be better. He has a hill round the back of his workshop that is enough to defeat most hub bikes without putting a fair amound of effort in yourself - certainly enough to test the Cytronex which is not the most powerful system around. Have a go on the single speed as that was a bit of revelation to me (not that I went out and bought it).

Cytronex have been jolly quiet for a while. Presumably they are busy getting their new kit ready which their website has been saying will be available 'later in 2010'.

I've ridden a couple of wisper 905s (eco and sport), an urban mover um33, an izip (something or other), powabyke x6 plus some low cost ones whose names I cannot remember.

The connection is that they all look like non-electric bikes as far as possible, and that is a major attraction to me of the Cytronex.

Favourite by far is the Wisper. Quality piece of kit and had no trouble at all with Bristol city centre hills (Park St and around Brandon Hill for anyone who knows the area). But it doesn't quite do it for me. Close, but a little too heavy and the battery location still gives away its power source. I have a motorbike which I ride daily, and I'm looking for something lightweight to compliment that, not a heavy machine to replace it.

I wouldn't mind a ride on an Emotion cross, but the Cytronex has it in the looks for me because of the disguised battery. Just down to aesthetics really.

Yes I should go to the shop, but it is inconvenient (at least a 3 hour round trip), especially if I then decide it isn’t for me. Hence asking to see if anyone would lend me one.
