I can pick up a new one of these for $399.00 aud (260 gbp), due to health issues I need to ride on flatter ground which will require driving the bike to somewhere suitable.
I hope temporarily.
Has any one ridden one? how are the brakes?

I may be wrong but a friend had one very similar to this about 2 years ago - cost him £200 then now maybe £260. The bike was absolutely useless falling to bits within 20 yards of starting . IF its the same model Avoid btw. he is about 13 stone apologies to the firm/bike if not the same

Alan Suggest you look elswhere!!!!!!!

Found out some more info, these are sold as Velomini as well the normal pricing is $799 to $995 aud., I also found some positive reviews so I have one on the way should be here in a couple of days.
Another plus is that I already have 2x 24v 5a LiPo packs I can use for extended range if required.
They weight 14.5 kg including battery. :)

Gordonal, it's a pretty safe bet that it is not the same bike, this one is built like a brick s..t house, the welds on the Aluminium are very well executed, it arrived with the brakes even adjusted correctly.
I just took it out for as 12 km test ride, it feels like a normal sized bike except when riding with one hand (not quite as secure a feeling), it can turn tighter but does not feel at all twitchy or give a rough ride, the frame is very rigid with very slight flex in the stem under extreme provocation.
Bearing in mind that I haven't ridden for some time and can not exert anywhere near full power due to a health issue I averaged 17 kph and hit 27 kph quite easily in pedelec mode not bad for a single speed with 12" wheels.

Up hill it climbs surprisingly well and I suspect it will overtake most riders on steeper hills, it makes the hill I live on easy and most cyclists walk or ride back and forth across the road to climb it.

Tought you only wanted one to ride on Flat ground - Now you're riding it up Cliffs! :p

It's amazing what an ebike does for your ambitions :)

Lol, I rode mostly on the flatish area's but could not resist a bit of a spin near my house on the day it arrived.
