hi all there was a mention a while back of woosh getting some kits which were switchable between 36v and 48v not sure if this was mid drive or a hub setup?
does the 36v /48v mean with the kit fitted and with a 48v battery, that I can also run it at 36v
or just that I can use a 36v or 48v battery.
cannot see anything on woosh website is it the controller that has the option switching.

thanks all

Not a direct answer to your question regarding Woosh dual voltage kits but in general terms.

Most 48v lion is 13s so 54.6v too much for any controller with 50v capacitor, if controller has 63v cap then no issue they only have one main in rush cap which is located next to the shunt. Often mounted at the opp end to the wiring output so only 4 small screws to undo to have a peak. To within reason hubs don't mind what voltage they see.

Two of my my bikes are dual voltage it's down to the controller, I use KT dual voltage 36/48v controllers (63v caps).
My big bear kit is 36v though runs on 12s lipo ok as long as they are at less then 4.15v per cell as the Lishui main cap is only 50v rated.

Motors run at different voltages will give different results due to the rpm winding.
A 36v 201rpm hub will run at 48v will be faster then a 48v 201rpm hub, as the 36v will run at approx. 260rpm (25%) faster whilst a 48v will remain the same at 201rpm.

What happened about the maxdrive 48v fatbike too. I was all ready to buy that, might I suggest woosh need to pick up the pace? At least in terms of info. Happy new year to them and all who read this whatever :)

so if I have a 36v hub fitted and kt dual controller with 63 capacitor .
I use a 36v battery moter runs at 36v 201.
I then swop for 48v battery moter runs at 36v but with more grunt?
I have no idea what 12s 13s is don't know about lipos.
is the kt intergrated into the battery housing or mount.
any uk sel;lers of moter and controller or a link please.

doesn't seem like woosh have any more info on 36/48 moter kits

you are correct. I was going to bring in the dual voltage KT kits but we still prefer the Lishui/King Meter combinations for their proven ease and reliability.
Other than that, we have good stock of 48V SWX02 which gives roughly 20%-30% more torque than than the 36V kits.

I have been using this kit on the test bike for about 2 months, never thought of checking.
I'll check it for you after the holiday.
