Anyone advise on a crank drive kit?

Apologies for asking again but technology moves on so I thought I would. There used to be the Sunstar S02 kit but it was suggested that it was a bit feeble and actually I couldn't get hold of it anyway, also there's the kit that drives the chain but it's a bit noisy and crude but are there any others I can consider like the Sunstar but preferably more powerful? Maybe there is a plan for a Bosch drive kit that fixes via the bottom bracket? I would like one for my trike and would mount at the front on the boom. This would give me more options with gearing than using a rear hub.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Richard Peace is mainly the only view source on these, he did two reviews on the earlier SO1 unit and ran one on his recumbent. The SO1 and 2 versions were too weak for most purposes, but this one by his account has been considerably boosted, the downside being the noise he reports, due no doubt to the small motor giving this higher output.

Certainly better quality than the Cyclone and Eclipse alternatives.

Looks like an interesting kit, only downside for me is the price, surprised how much it is. Like the design though and from reading the review sounds like it works very well
