Lost the charger and the key to the charger? ( I assume there's a battery key, not being familiar with that). Yeah, right.

Yes, it's the battery that has the key. Highly likely to be a stolen bike, and 50cycles will not supply a replacement charger without proof that the person was a legitimate purchaser originally. Therefore it can be a problem even if bought cheaply at a risk.

My bike came with three keys to the battery lock. He must have been really unlucky to have lost all 3!

I have alerted 50c to this ad. Clearly Rooney if that is the sellers name, has not got a clue.

I have just called the number and enquired about the bike, only to be told " it went ages ago". I left it at that. The ad was placed yesterday, not ages ago.

I would love everbody to keep ringing Rooney, but it might jepordise any chance of recovery.

I remember this bike with exactly the same pictures was already listed on Gumtree couple of weeks ago. It was brough to the attention on this forum as well so it's maybe the same guy who didn't sell few weeks ago cos he was scared to do that and trying his attempt now

I've emailed Gumtree about it. The more aware they are that ads for ebikes without chargers are inherently dodgy, the better.
