I have an Arv with a Tranzx pst front hub motor. The speedo is giving totally the wrong speed causing the motor to cut out, for example riding along on the flat doing no more than 10km/h the speed will be reading 45-60 km/h. Does anybody have any ideas on fixing this?

How did it start?
Most LCDs have a setting for the number of magnets in the speed sensor. The setting is often 1 or 6 because that's what most motors have. Yours is probably set to 6 instead of 1, as it appears to show six times the correct speed.

Thanks for your suggestion. The bike is reading the speed from the front hub, I've opened it up and there is one magnet on the motor cover and a pick up on the inner hub. The bike was working normally and just stopped working, the mode controller also stopped working. I re-calibrated the torque sensor and the mode buttons started to work and the motor would kick in but then turn off as the speed would go above 25km/h even though the bike is hardly moving.
