Axle Sizes

Does anybody know if existing axle on the Ezee Forza will accept double chainwheel as thread stripped on crank thought might be able to go for one more teeth 52 /40 so that if battery packs up i could slip it onto small one get home ok.

The existing spider should accept dual chainrings but I'd think you'd need to scrap the chainguard if yours has it.

When I converted the very similar eZee Torq 1 to a rear motor, I placed the 52 tooth chainring on the outside of the spider arms with spacers to get optimum rear sprocket set alignment. It depends on whether you judge the Forza will give the right middle of the road alignment with the rear sprocket cluster, using spacer collars if necessary. Here's a pic of the chainline on my converted Torq where you'll see that the chainring lines up with the third sprocket up from top gear on the six speed cluster. You may not be able to achieve the same on the standard Forza:

Tony thanks, why this comes up is because the crank has stripped thread and unlikely will not repair i thought use 52/4o ? so if battery dies no problem getting home.

The problem is likely to be where to fit the front mech, with the battery tight up against the seat tube normal clamp fittings won't go.
Edit: I looked again and I assume you plan to swap manually? You might have a problem getting the chain to stay on the bigger ring if there's nothing to guide it.
