Badd Ass Box and Shimano update

Hi has anyone fitted one of the above to a commencal Meta power 2019.
It states this on E bike tuning .com
Attention: With the new Shimano Update [4.7.0.] many E Bike Tuning products are not working anymore. Please do not update.
If not does anyone know if there is a way to tell if its been updated or not.
