Bafang 8fun amount of speed magnets

I'm setting up a new controller and need to enter in the amount of speed magnets, how many is normal on an 8fun 250w 36v motor

So I have the same motor I have a KT controller and the LCD 3 but I set P2 to 1 I get no speed reading but if I set it too 0 I have a reading am I doing something wrong with settings

Bafang motors normally have 6 magnets, though sometimes 1. Other motors normally have 1. You know if you've set it right when you see whether the speed display is out by a factor of 6.

If you set zero or your speed sensor is missing or doesn't work, the controller will default to using the hall sensors for speed. You know when that happens because the speed will go to zero whenever the motor is free-wheeling.
