Hi...in common with many electric bikes, on my Wisper there is a long space between the seat post and the rack.
I need to carry a fair amount of stuff but being unable to fasten the bag to the seatpost/saddle I am unable to keep the bag stable and it falls over to the side.
How do others get round this, what must be a common problem ?
...not interested in panniers...just want to use a standard bike bag.

appreciate any suggestions....thanks....Mike

You can get rack bags in various sizes. I've got this Avenir rack bag that fixes on to the rack with 3 velcro straps on its underneath, has two small fold-out panniers and a detachable shoulder strap.

Not really sure what you mean,so i could be miles away here.but i use cable ties to help secure anything from bags to wiring, very cheap and quite strong and secure i even have one tied around the saddle stem adjuster,as used by a local bike shop to help prevent the theft of saddles on outside display bikes.

Thanks guys...none of these quite solves the problem.
I once tried a bungee cord...being the obvious solution...unfastened it at some point and forgot to re-fasten...left it dangling....broke a spoke.
The problem is it not being fastened at the rear...saddle end, as is normal and it keeps tilting over.

cheers....Mike

If you have some spare saddle stem showing and normally charge your battery on the bike, how about attaching a cheap bar end so that it stuck out rearwards, then becoming an attachment point for the front of the bag.

Something like one of these cheap bar ends from Halfords (rubber grips not included) would suit, though you might need to pack the diameter to size to fit the stem:

Sounds like you're wanting to use an existing bag rather than buy new.

You could try a roll of double sided hook/eye velcro tape, perhaps sewing it on? I've bought this from ebay sellers before now.

Most rack bags are wider than the rack, so the conventional method of securing the Velcro straps results in the bag leaning to one side.
Simple solution is to wrap each strap round the nearest rack securing leg prior to passing under the rack. Works a treat, no more leaning bag.

Thanks everybody...I'm 'gonna try a mix of cable ties and see if I can get some good thick velcro strapping...most velcro I've seen for sale is very thin stuff.
In my camera bag there is some really thick, good quality stuff, I'd pinch that but it's not long enough :)

cheers....Mike
