possibly not a mainstream purchase, but I just picked up a Blackburn 70 Lumens light for £4.50 from Tredz when I was getting some maintenance bits - they had a few other super cheap lights from other makers too (eg Voyager is less than £3!) I know they can be a bit slow on delivery but been pretty happy with these folks before (fingers crossed)

Also noticed Merlin are selling Altura waterpoof panniers for £22, almost an Ortlieb for a lot less money

The Blackburn stuff seems really good quality.
The light bargain of the year though was the 'Central 300' model that unfortunately seems to have JUST sold out in Tredz.

uses an 18650 cell (so its replaceable when it eventually fails), and the 300 lumens is just about decent enough to see as opposed to just be seen. They were something like £11 !!
I bought a pair as backups to my 700 lumen, bigger brother Blackburns.
maybe someone else still has them in stock. I think they've changed the design for 2019 so the old ones are on final discount.

Yup. I bought a pair earlier on in the year for the missus. They are very nice indeed for the price.
Note the £22 is for one. if anyone is after a real bargain pair of panniers, the Altura main uk website had a sale on some 'tour' models I think. Was under £30 for a pair. Not as flash as the nightvision types that Merlin has, but very good value at around £14 each!
