Batavus E-go 3 registration number

Perhaps someone could help me - I have an old e-go 3, and I was trying to check the serial number to verify it wasn't stolen or anything. But I only found a 7 digit number (just above the front wheel). Apparently the true number starts with letters. But I can't find anything else at all??

I don't know for that specific bike, but stamped into the metal underneath the bottom bracket is a common location. The shallow stamped number can be obscured by hardened road dirt in that exposed spot, in which case try a stiff bristle brush and water to clear it.
