For longer trips there will be a small trailer containing a larger battery, and the bike might grow small 20W or so front and rear horizontal solar fenders!
It's an efficient lightweight solution, but I struggle to believe it is safe in windy conditions, or when buffeted by the turbulence produced by large vehicles.
Smaller area panels along the same lines would work for a bike not ridden continuously.

Could take off in high winds? With such a worldwide glut of cheap solar panels, I've read about people situating them mostly vertically to make solar garden fences. Not as efficient, but perhaps a front boxy solar fairing would make being a dwarf safer in in close proximity to such vehicles, as well as reduce lift and drag. Otherwise dwarf neck armour may need to be invented.
