@guerney - the timer I showed in the pic above is a 'one shot' countdown timer - you press a button to increment the ON time from 15min to 9hr and once it has' counted down' the switch goes OFF and stays that way (although it does have an optional repeat function via another buton which of course I don't use to avoid the situation you describe).

I use all sorts of Smart switches for the home but this countdown timer was simple and fitted my purpose entirely.

Mine's just a cheapo £5 Wilko mechanical cyclic 24 hour timer, but I have digital timer, which is currently being used to control LED growlamps to grow strawberries all year round in the kitchen window recess, which I'll swap it with - trouble is, the LCD display is so damned tiny, that these days I can't read it without a big magnifying glass.

they do but the bms still needs power so if you leave it plugged in for a few hrs it will start charging again.

if you leave it 2 years the bms drains the sucker to 0v and bricks it
