Battery query

Hi guys, bit of info required by any leccy gurus of the forum. I have a 24 volt lipo pack on a Salisbury powacycle, the pack has come to the end of its days and I'm thinking of doing a re-cell with Li-ion, the question is can I use the lipo charger or will I need a dedicated charger for Li-ion, thanks in advance fellas... Lipo charger will work fine but you might want to lower any charge/balance current to < 2.5a. Charge parameters are the same voltage wise.

IMHO, it would be best to have a Li-ion charger....This will give the best life for the battery.

If re-celling with lion and using the lipo charger you might as well omit a BMS and continue to manually balance charge as before, balancing with the lipo charger then allows as before you to decide on the final balance voltage. 4.1v would be the best for life but still monitor lion lvc to 3.2/3.3v minimum.

OK guys thanks for the help, battery rebuilt using boston swing li ion 5300mah cells, all went well and battery is currently on charge and being closy monitored... Glyn
