Battery voltage drop?

My 24v 9AH battery is a few months old now and has been used about 4 times a week to around 33% remaining capacity each time.
It gets a full charge after every run without fail.
When it was new, the voltage read 29.6v on the multimeter hot off the charger.
Yesterday i noticed it read only 27.3v hot off the charger.
Is this a cause for concern or the battery just showing it's starting to age?

Sounds like a cell has died.

The bikes performance doesn't seem to be affected, although haven't tested range yet.
If it does have a dead cell, would this drag the performance of the other cells down or cause them to expire quicker?
Is it still ok to charge the battery as normal?

Good news, i tested the battery pack again today and it's reading 29.6v again.
Maybe the heat got to my brain yesterday when i tested it

Spoke too soon. Only got 2 miles out of it today before it died :(
Battery voltage read 22v. Must have dropped below the controller limit.
Oh well, those nice chaps at Sports HQ will sort it out. Their customer service is pretty good :)

Sound like a cell has gone west, time for a replacement battery. I'm sure SportsHQ will replace it without quibble since its not uncommon for a small proportion of lithium batteries to fail in this way, especially those from low cost production like this one.

where did the battery come from??
I've assumed it's a Cyclamatic bike battery since that's the brand SportsHQ's handles.

so I assume that battery is Zhejang Zhenlong which probably isn't of the best quality

Yep yer both correct.
If the replacement battery bites the dust, then i'll replace it with a higher capacity Ping battery.
Reckon the Cyclamatic battery is close to working at it's limit when tackling hills and there's a few around here.
