I took the external battery for a 4 miles test run seems okay
I picked up a volt meter on the way and its reading 39.5 volt
when I got home and how low will it drop before I can charge it back up?
The charger still thinks its fully charged and stays green light.

Hi Steve it should take a charge I would say bad connection between charger and battery there is nothing stopping it if you have disconnected the BMS

I was being thick as I forgot to join the red and black charging wires to the battery with the other output wires
and I did use 30 amp block connectors like you suggested for now it was the easiest option

I was thinking of runing without a Bms and Maybe get a ping when this thing packs up!
This is from 2007 and its a li-ion 36v 22ah but its never been used and stood since then.
I am suprised it still works to be honest.:)
