Hello there,

I was looking for a sold secure silver rated lock and I've found this Hiplock:

It is a bit gimmick but quite interesting: You just keep your lock on your belt until you need to use it.

As bonus, it can be used as reflector when you wear it.

It cost £70 GBP and because it's rated as silver protection, I can use it with Cycleguard insurance.

What do you think?

Actually I'm thinking of using this belt lock alone as this is enough to get insured. Carrying 2 locks is too much hassle: It adds 4 kg to your bike and is too long to lock/unlock.

If you're completely insured just with this lock, that may be fine. Otherwise the insurance company would require you to use 2 locks.

This lock weight 1.8kg.
