400 watt/ 300 rpm ( 25 kmph 20” wheel)
This applies for the 37v right? I am suprised though, my current motor can do 25kmph and is a crappy 250w running on 24v! And I bet it could do some more without being restricted...

Hi Tsakis,

The quoted speed is in restricted mode, it would be much faster if derestricted, but being a law abiding citizen, I could not possibly condone that;)

Top speed, as you know, is affected by many factors, weight of rider, topography, etc. So an accurate figure for every circumstance is difficult to calculate.

well I fancy a kit on a lighter bike....The wife does not use the 705 at all except when we go away so I may as well have 2 bikes that I am happy to use. Looking at the other thread re kits it is a bit of a nightmare sourcing the right bike. I would prefer a hybrid style with suspension (medium frame) If any one sees anything that may suit I would appreciate knowing. not being technically minded I am concerned about getting the right bikes with all this talk of dropouts and what have you......

where have the smileys gone?

I think you if just have good look around some bike shops Eddie and find one you like, then source it at the best price.

OH, if you click the advanced tab you see the 'smiles' where they used to be:D:D.

Good hunting;)

Hi again Eddie,
I'm going to mount an eZee city type battery carrier like the one below, that means I can fit panniers. The controller bolts on the underside of it. If you click on the image it will enlarge;)

Good that it is black.....

I have had a reprieve, I have identified a new "Thule Omni-Bike Sport 2 Doors for Vans" that has a 50 kg capacity so that will take existing bikes (will take out batterys)

Still intend to change bikes around a bit this year though ...really tempted by the Boach HaiBike, but probably more sense to wait for a Mark2 lol

Yes Eddie, a black or dark coloured frame was one of my criteria in choosing a bike.

The carrier sounds like a good choice and I think it wise not to go for a brand new model and I am speaking as one who has been guilty of this in the past. My policy now is never to buy a Mk 1 anything;)
