Hi...I'm looking to fit Schwalbe big apple tyres to my ebike.

Original tyres were 26 x 1.50, presently I'm running on Swalbe marathon plus 26 x 1.75, ...the narrowest BA tyres appear to be 2.00

The rims on my bike are very narrow but no problems with the 1.75 and there's plenty of room between the tyre and the forks.

Will I be ok with the Big apple 26 x 2.00 ? ....if yes which tubes should I use?

...appreciate advice...thanks....Mike

Michelin c4 protect 1.85 - 2.3
Strange looking tube but works great
Rim needs to be 21c mm to fit big apple and will raise bike 1/2 inch
Big apple 26 x 2.0 actually measures 1.8 ish and Max width 60mm wide
45 psi max

When I got the 2.35in ones 19mm rum width was listed as the minimum on the schwalbe site, I've not had any problems with that.

Where did you get 50psi max? I'm sure the 2.35 was 60 although I run them 45-50.

On Rims of 17c and 19c 60mm tyres should not be inflated to more than 45 psi
54 mm tyres can be 55psi
57mm tyres 50 psi
Big apples are 60mm they will roll off at higher pressures
On no account fit them to rims below 17c

Thanks Cakey, I'll drop my pressures to 45 max. Schwalbe should really put that in their catalogues which just list min/max for the tyres themselves - I was running mine at max at one point :roll eyes: at least they didn't roll off!

The Big Apples are great tyres - really noticed the difference when I started using them.
