On the 19th September Bristol is holding the
UK’s first dedicated cycling Carnival

and we thought there has to be a BIG Electric Bike presence at this great fun event

This is part of the 2 week Bristol Cycle Festival so will have lots of interest and should be a really spectacular event Cycle Carnival « Bristol Cycle Festival

So lots and lots of decorated bikes will go on a tour round the centre of Bristol followed by celebrations - this something all the family can get involved with

We are registered as one of the Groups taking part in the carnival and we have also come up with a theme that should work well with your electric bikes

E-Mods and Rockers

Are you a Mod or a Rocker ?
Dress your Ebike and yourself to join your gang and "terrorise" Bristol

As big a selection of electric bikes and trikes as we can get - all decorated to suit your gang.

OR

Why not come along and join in ?

It would be great to really show the world that E bikes are here and out on your streets

TBH I'd be more likely to be a casual - ironically many of my friends these days are still goths! (we are all in our 30s, and in the 1980s actual conflict was comparatively rare compared to today).

Chavs are in fact a re-hash of 1980s/90s street fashions from the rave days without the happy go lucky optimistic and relatively non-violent youth culture (other than the older drug dealers )

if I still lived in Reading I probably would join you lot, its a bit far from where I live!

Well a couple of manufacturers are going to join in with this so any more riders want a fun day out with their bikes ?

I am really trying to show the world that us E-bikers have fun as well as glide past everyone else :p :p

Well what a great day yesterday was - a massive carnival of bikes weaved its way noisily through the City centre of Bristol causing many astonished looks and lots of applause from onlookers. Then back to Queen Square or an afternoon of fun and entertainment
My thanks for Herb and LLoyd for joining in on the Electric Bike part of the procession and the many many people who came up to find out what electric bikes were all about

I will stick some of my own pictures up over the next couple of days

*note to self - must choose a bike capable of crawling at slow speeds - Wisper 905 bit like a muzzled race horse :D
