QR code (abbreviated from Quick Response Code) is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode (or two-dimensionalbarcode) first designed for the automotive industry in Japan. A barcode is a machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached.

just download a qr code reader for ur phone and take a pic of it ;)

i think you just register that you now own it so if it goes missing can report it as stolen.

bit like this imo.

If you use Google Chrome it should translate that form into English for you.

If it's just a label and it can be removed or defaced etc then as a security marker sounds pretty well useless.

The glue is apparently the unstickable variety. Just there to discourage the dumber thief "Doh! The bike is registered, better leave it alone".

A better sticker says "Bike equipped with electronic tracking device" even if it isn't. For clever thieves who can read and know what a tracking device is.

On a more practical note .. I never leave it out of sight anywhere. It's in my garage when not in use and garage is allarmed, has only one point of entry with the up and over Lock and two deadlocks at the sides so feel fairly safe.
Aparently the more discerning theif has found there's good profit on high value bikes using apps like strava to see where you ride from and are even following you home. But, me being a bit lazy, new bike isn't on insurance yet..
