blue is the colour

i just wonderd why virtualy all (if not all ) manufacturers used blue heatsrink to cover lipo batteries, is this the colour code for lithium ? then again nicad packs always seem to be predominatly yellow ?

I think it's just an impression you have from those you've seen. There are plenty of examples where it's either the opposite or other colours are used, green also being quite commonly used.

In fact blue, green, yellow, light grey and black are all common on differing types.
